Knit bags ahoy

for knitting Originally uploaded by Justafew I had to pullout the sewing machine so I could finish my swap partner's sock bag for the HSKS#3 swap. I got her bag done and then broke the machine needle so everything ground to a halt. Got a new needle for the machine last night and finished up my bags samples and was really pleased. All the bags are reversible the light blue bag has a self closing loop, the darker blue bag only needs a drawstring and toggle to finish that project and the two blue and gold bags are grocery bag...well actually they will be knit bags but the pattern is from a grocery bag. They turned out great! (IMHO) I followed the tutorial from Craftster: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0 I think I'll whip some up for the holidays....if not for gifts as a way to wrap them.

Okay Stephanie your HSKS#3 swap is on it's way!!! You should get it on Halloween day that is the plan at least! I broke my sewing machine needle and couldn't finish your larger bag so you got an extra pair of needles instead...good trade off I think. Just a sneak preview, I hope you enjoy the swap

Busy, busy!!

Wow! How time flies! We are behind in everything so this will have to be quick.... First off...HSKS #3 Trivia Trivia The Tales of Beedle the Bard Grindewald No Deathstick Fred They were all white Snape Kelpies Milkman Flitwick Bertie Botts Beans Jelly Slugs Chocolate Frogs Blood Pops Okay and this one took me...like...FOREVER!! Jenean's first HSKS kit and for the bonus is was made my Ansley.... There!!!! Go Hufflepuff!!! Now, back to work and then home to get ready for a Girl Scout training this weekend (I'm facilitating which means I have all the prep, delivery, and clean-up ..along with my fab-co-trainer of course but it is a lot of work...)

I was off at a conference this weekend and so not much help to my Quidditch team...but I did make sure I had all my trivia answers up and posted!! Thank goodness we have someone like Laurie Ann! She found the snitch! That is 2 (count 'um) snitch finds for good old Hufflepuff!
